![]() If you visit during the Summer show, the experience will be entirely different when you return for the Halloween spectacular. You see, Dark Hour is unique in the sense that it changes with the seasons. Though it is indeed a year round attraction, they do go dark for several weeks occasionally to remodel for their next show. Located at 701 Taylor Dr in Plano TX, the location now plays host to a year round haunted house. Located in what was once a sprawling Sports Authority retail store lies something dark and sinister. And Dark hour does space groups, so that also wasn't Dark Hour's fault. We let 2 groups pass us up because they were powerwalking through. I was sore, tired, and after 3 hours you'd think people would want to take their time walking through, but no. ![]() If we get the chance to go back (it's 2 hour drive to Dallas for me), I would only do so on a week night, for sure! The wait and other customers kinda ruined it for me. They run specials during the week to try to pull people in. And it is for a reason! The staff member I spoke to said the day before they had over 4000 guests, that night easily was triple the people, and it was the busiest that they had ever been. Big mistake!! We had to park 3 blocks away and waited in line for a full 3 hours before we made it in. My family and I went the Saturday/weekend before Halloween. The staff outside and actors were super nice. They really invest in their sets and I am sooo impressed. This is the best quality haunt that I have ever been to.
